Werkman Black sees more

I´m using Werkman Black since 6 weeks and measured 27 Horses before and after shoeing.

As a farrier with 3 decades of experience I normally use my knowledge, and often my sixth sense in my daily work.

With Werkman Black I am capable to improve my work.

Werkman Black sees actually more than my eyes and my camera and Werkman Black doesn’t lie! It pushes me to learn and to understand more about the gait of the horses. I´m often surprised about the results. The influence of trimming, rolling and rocker toe, the part of  heels with the end of the shoe during the landing phase, equal and unequal footfalls. Werkman Black actually challenges me and I learn! You have to switch on the brain if you like to use this amazing system.

This is a screenshot of the footfalls of Franzi

These are the footfalls of Franzi, a dressage Horse, 5 years old and toed in and slightly different hoof angles. Werkman Black shows the unequal gait and especially the unequal landing that I could not see with my eyes. So I concentrated my trimming and shoeing on this part. It worked pretty good, I think.

This is a screenshot of the 3D landing animation of a lame horse

This is a lame Horse which I helped a Vet to find out the weak area in the right hoof. In the landing animation you can see different green areas. This is the position of the hoof at the end of the landing phase and the beginning of mid stance. While the sound left hoof is standing on the heels, the lame right hoof is standing on the toe.
